Neil Watson, Founder

Neil Watson is the founder and Principal of NW MEP Cost Inc., bringing more than 30 years of MEP cost estimating experience to every project the firm undertakes. His career began in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he developed a strong technical foundation in Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveying, establishing the rigorous, detail-oriented approach he carries to this day.

After gaining early international experience in the UK, Neil relocated to the Pacific Northwest and held senior MEP estimating roles at several respected firms, including Currie & Brown in Portland and Davis Langdon in Seattle, before founding NW MEP Estimating in 2010. The firm was incorporated as NW MEP Cost Inc. in 2021.

Over the course of his career, Neil has provided detailed MEP cost estimates on projects of significant scale and complexity, serving private and public sector clients across the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States. His experience spans a wide range of sectors including Aviation, K-12 and Higher Education, Healthcare, Performing Arts, Manufacturing, Museums, Laboratories, and Confidential Government projects. Neil has supported projects at every phase from initial budgeting through construction completion.

His depth of knowledge across multiple disciplines, markets, and project types ensures that every estimate delivered by NW MEP Cost is grounded in both technical expertise and real-world construction knowledge, giving clients the confidence to make informed decisions at every stage of a project.
